White sand. Warm ocean. The reward at the end of the journey.
Diani Beach is consistently rated one of Africa's finest stretches of coastline — powdery white sand, calm turquoise water protected by a coral reef, and a warm Indian Ocean that stays around 27°C year-round. Four days here is not an itinerary in the conventional sense. There is no agenda, no checklist of sites, no early morning departures. Just the ocean, excellent food, and the particular feeling that comes after an intense safari or gorilla trek. You have earned this.
Domestic flight to Mombasa (45 min) or connection from Tsavo. Likoni ferry crossing south, then 30 minutes to Diani. Check in. First swim. Sunset seafood dinner on the beach.
Full day at leisure. Ocean swimming, snorkelling on the coral reef, or simply reading under the palms. Optional: dhow sailing excursion in the afternoon — traditional wooden sailboat, cold drinks, Swahili coast backdrop.
Optional full-day boat excursion to Kisite-Mpunguti Marine National Park — one of Kenya's finest snorkelling destinations. Spinner dolphin pods, turtles, and extraordinary coral gardens. Return by late afternoon for the best sunset.
Final morning on the beach. Leisurely breakfast. Transfer to Mombasa airport for your flight.
